Playhouse on Park opens it's fourth season with the classic play Of Mice and Men. Adapted from John Steinbeck's famous novel, Of Mice and Men follows the lives of George and Lennie, two drifters that dream of owning their own land.

A menacing band of thieves seeks a mysterious doll. In their way is Suzy, a young blind woman who innocently received the doll. A classic thriller of a young vulnerable woman fighting for her life against evil performs October 26-November 11 in the Wilson Mainstage Auditorium.

Guanqun Yu will make her Met debut as Leonora in Verdi's Il Trovatore on September 29 matinee, replacing Carmen Giannattasio who is ill. Yu was already scheduled to sing Leonora on October 17, 20, and 25; Giannattasio is still scheduled to sing the role on October 4, 8, and 12.

On Wednesday, November 28, 2012, Silver Hill Hospital will hold a festive black-tie gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York. Musician Neil Sedaka will be honored for the joy his music has brought to millions. Mr. Sedaka's songs, such as 'Breaking Up is Hard to Do' and 'Laughter in the Rain,' have brought solace as well as hope to millions of lives compromised by mental illness and addiction. Guests will be treated to a special performance by Mr. Sedaka during the evening. The Gala is a fundraiser to provide financial assistance for individuals who need the Silver Hill long-term residential treatment programs but are without adequate resources to cover the costs.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), has announced full casting for a staged concert production - similar in style to their acclaimed Musicals in Mufti Series - of the 1966 musical Man with a Load of Mischief, with music by John Clifton, lyrics by Clifton and Ben Tarver, and book by Tarver. Playful Theatre Productions presents the comic rock musical "Little Shop of Horrors" at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre.
