Early popular demand has prompted Lantern Theater Company to announce an immediate extension of the upcoming production of David Ives' The Liar, an adaptation of the 1664 French comedy classic by Pierre Corneille, directed by Associate Artistic Director Kathryn MacMillan. This Philadelphia premiere by the playwright of the Lantern's smash hit New Jerusalem, The Interrogation of Baruch de Spinoza at Talmud Torah Congregation: Amsterdam, July 27, 1656 will now run from November 1 - December 2, 2012 (press opening Wednesday, November 7, 7 p.m.).

October lends itself to the copious amount of Horror Movie viewings, and The Rep Red Light Series will be screening Richard Griffin's "Murder University" a pitch perfect example of New England horror filmmaking. The hilarious holiday musical sequel to the record-breaking FOREVER PLAID, PLAID TIDINGS, entertains Theatre at the Center audiences November 15 through December 23 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster. Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen today announced Boston Ballet will tour to London, England July 1 - 7, 2013 for a six performance debut at the London Coliseum. The date marks the return of Boston Ballet to London for the first time in 30 years. The Company will present two programs, showcasing the diversity of Boston Ballet's repertoire and the versatility of its artists.

The third annual M. The University of Dubuque has invited the Columbus Symphony and the Dubuque Symphony to perform a special concert together to celebrate the grand opening of the University's new state-of-the-art Performing Arts and Campus Center on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The collaboration was initiated by Joe and Linda Chlapaty, Dubuque graduates and Columbus residents who are major supporters of the 80,000 square foot, $30 million facility currently under construction.

Novelist Nathan Englander discusses his new play, The Twenty-Seventh Man, with the theater director Barry Edelstein, in a conversation moderated by the journalist Alexis Soloski. Set in a Russian prison in 1952, the play is adapted from one of Englander's stories in the collection For the Relief of Unbearable Urges. It will be performed at The Public Theater from November 7 to December 9.
