WVIZ/PBS ideastream® will broadcast the world premiere of The Cleveland Orchestra in Performance: Bruckner Symphony No. 4 on Monday, October 29, 2012, at 9:00 pm. Under the musical direction of Franz Welser-Most, the performance was filmed in 2012 at the beautiful 17th-century baroque Abbey of St. Florian in Austria. Emmy Award-winner Brian Large directed the video recording. This is the first video produced of the recent critical edition of the 1888 version of Bruckner's Fourth Symphony, edited by Benjamin Korstvedt and published in the Bruckner Collected Works edition (Vienna, 2004).

The annual presentation of the Museum of the City of New York's Louis Auchincloss Prize will be held on Monday, October 22nd at 6 pm. This year, the prize will be awarded to Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director of the Manhattan Theatre Club, and the event will feature a performance by Bebe Neuwirth and special appearances by Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker.

Lookingglass Theatre's Board of Directors and Gala Committee announce one of Chicago's highly anticipated events of the season, the 2013 Lookingglass gglassquerade, which will celebrate 25 years of ensemble collaboration, transformation and invention. Host Stephen Colbert, of Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, will be presented with the Lookingglass Civic Engagement Award at the event. gglassquerade will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at The Four Seasons, 120 East Delaware Place in Chicago.

Producers of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? have announced that the 50th anniversary Broadway revival has been extended, and is now on sale through February 24, 2013. The production, which was originally on sale through January 27, 2013, officially opened on October 13, 2012, at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street), exactly 50 years to the day of the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962.

Berlin's Deutsches Theater was to present CLYBOURNE PARK, the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, earlier this year - with a white actress in 'experimental makeup' playing the black characters Francine and Lena. The York Theatre Company will remember legendary Broadway director, Albert "Albie" Marre who passed away at the age of 87 on September 4th, with a memorial service set for Monday evening, October 29th beginning at 7:00 p.m. at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Citicorp Building, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The event is open to the public with a reservation.
