Following a successful premier at Jobsite Theater in Tampa last May, "Little Tunes" (http://littletunes.org) has been selected for the 2012 United Solo festival -- the world's largest solo theatre festival -- in New York City. Tampa actor/playwright Ned Averill-Snell will perform his one-man play in the heart of Manhattan's theatre district on October 31.

From the Lark Play Development Center's BareBones® workshop program that supported Katori Hall's THE MOUNTAINTOP, Rajiv Joseph's BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO, and Kristoffer Diaz's WELCOME TO ARROYOS, the Lark announces a BareBones® workshop of THE WAY WEST by Mona Mansour, directed by Linsay Firman. The workshop runs at Lark's BareBones® Studio from November 2 - 11 at 311 West 43rd Street in New York City. Tickets are $10, $12, and $15 and are available at www.larktheatre.org.

Oktober sind Herbert Herrmann und Nora von Collande in der romantischen Komödie zu sehen. „Wir haben die Zeit in Berlin unglaublich genossen, waren hier sehr glücklich, haben uns tatsächlich auf jede Vorstellung gefreut, hatten unendlich viele Zuschauer und eine tolle Resonanz auf ´Das zweite Kapitel´“, freut sich die gebürtige Berlinerin Nora von Collande und ist auch ein bisschen wehmütig, dass das Gastspiel in Berlin bald zu Ende ist.

Broadway stars Barbara Walsh (Company) and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q) join Bill Connington, the star of ZOMBIE, in performing in a benefit reading of Oscar Wilde's classic comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest ("A Trivial Comedy for Serious People"). Also in the cast are William Connell (The Coast of Utopia), Vivienne Cleary (Peace Warriors), Annmarie Benedict (Robeson), D.H. Johnson (Dodsworth), and Oliver Houser (Spring Awakening, Virginia Rep).

The Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation today announced that after an international search to identify a new Executive Director, the Board of Trustees has chosen to continue the Ailey tradition of passing on leadership from one generation of the organization to the next by naming Bennett Rink to the post. Mr. Rink, Ailey's current Senior Director of Development and External Affairs, will succeed Sharon Gersten Luckman, who hired him in 1994, and who announced at the beginning of 2012 that she would step aside as Executive Director at the beginning of 2013.

Classic Stage Company's new production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV, starring Ethan Hawke, Joely Richardson and Juliet Rylance, and directed by Austin Pendleton, begins previews Wednesday, October 17 at CSC (136 East 13th Street), prior to an official opening Sunday, November 4. IVANOV has extended its run by popular demand through Sunday, December 9.
