Marian Street Theatre Presents IMOGEN AND THE PIRATES, Beginning 12 January

By:

Marian Street Theatre for Young People's summer show is a fun pirate adventure set on the high seas. So hop aboard the Good Ship Marian Street when MSTYP presents IMOGEN AND THE PIRATES from 12 January to 23 March 2013. True to Marian Street style, kids are invited to join in with the lively songs and audience participation for an adventure full of swashbuckling fun.

Young Imogen Merryweather has never done a single chore in her entire life. She's as spoilt as any little girl can be – that is until she suddenly finds herself looking after a bunch of hopeless pirates, captained by Mad Maggie.

While Imogen charms the pirates into obeying her orders she almost forgets about her poor parents, who are marooned on a desert island.

Imogen finally attracts the dashing sea captain, Jolly Roger, the merriest pirate who ever tap-danced on a plank, to come and save the Merryweathers in his ship 'Lollipop' – but first he has to fight off sea monsters, ghosts and Mad Maggie's mother...

Marian Street Theatre for Young People is a not-for-profit organisation that has been creating quality theatre for children for over 40 years with a blend of great storytelling, original music and puppetry brought to life by the talented young performers from Marian Street Drama School.
