At intimate & historic, Lyric Hall, blues master Guy Davis & acclaimed singer-songwriter, BettySoo will perform the songs in personal interpretations. Between the songs, Peter Landecker as Dylan speaks to the audience & re-creates interviews, one in each act.

Southern Rep continues its 'New Plays New Orleans' mission with 3X3: THE ONE ACTS by Kerry Cahill, Michael Santos, and Jon Broder, continues a year-long cycle presenting works by eleven senior members of 6X6 Play Slam. The 6X6 Play Slam, now in its third year, is a group of local playwrights who write 10-minute plays which are presented six times a year by Southern Rep Theatre. 3X3: THE ONE ACTS runs January 14th and 15th, 2013, at 7:30pm, at Mid-City Theatre, 3540 Toulouse Street, New Orleans, LA.

On Friday, January 25th from 5:30-7:30 PM, the Gladstone Arts Commission will host our annual art opening dedicated to the North Kansas City School District. Winnetonka, North Kansas City, Staley and Oak Park High Schools will all be showing their very best at the Gladstone Community Center, located at 6901 N. Holmes.

One of Kansas City's most acclaimed actors, Gary Neal Johnson, is set to star as the iconic Willy Loman in Kansas City Repertory Theatre's production of Arthur Miller's Tony Award-winning Death of a Salesman. The Rep's artistic director Eric Rosen will direct the production, which runs January 18-February 10 at Spencer Theatre. Miller's classic play about a down-on-his-luck salesman searching for his American Dream remains one of the most profound dramas in the canon of American theatre.

Joining them, to complete the cast, are Jamie Ballard (Macduff), Graeme Dalling (Donalbain), Lisa Gardner (Witch), Kevin Guthrie (Lennox), Richard Hansell (Ross), Forbes Masson (Banquo), Allison McKenzie (Witch), Olivia Morgan (Witch), Catherine Murray (Caithness), Callum O'Neill (Angus), Mark Quartley (Malcolm) and Hugh Ross (Duncan/Doctor).

Gorilla Tango's Skokie Theatre has announced its newest offering for youth: the FILM INCUBATOR PROGRAM (FIP). The FIP is a 6-week workshop where kids in tandem with professional filmmakers create a short film from scratch. The kids work on all aspects of the production (writing, directing, acting, crew, etc.) and at the end of the term the movies are premiered at the Skokie Theatre - a real movie theatre! - as a free event for family and friends. All participants get a copy of their movie on DVD to take with them. Class size is limited.

Marin Theatre Company begins 2013 and the second half of its critically acclaimed 46th Season with Samuel Beckett's modern classic, Waiting for Godot, which runs from January 24 to February 17. MTC's artistic director Jasson Minadakis directs, returning to "this greatest of 20th-century plays" (The New York Times) over a decade after he first directed an "excellent, electrifying" (The Cincinnati Enquirer) production at Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival. MTC's production features a talented cast: Oregon Shakespeare Festival company member Mark Bedard, popular Bay Area actors James Carpenter and Mark Anderson Philips and Cirque du Soliel and Ringling Bros. clown Ben Johnson, as well as two local southern Marin youths. Opening night is on Tuesday, January 29.

South Coast Repertory wraps up its current season with a fresh take on an American classic and a world premiere. The Fantasticks, the longest-running musical of all time, in a new setting by Amanda Dehnert, will be the final production of the season. SCR also will present the world premiere of Beau Willimon's The Parisian Woman as part of the 2013 Pacific Playwrights Festival.

There's always room for one more in Children's Theatre Company's production of The Biggest Little House in the Forest adapted by Rosanna Staffa from the book by Djemma Bider. CTC Acting Company Member Autumn Ness skillfully creates a wonderful collection of characters and brings each of them to vivid life. The imaginative set and puppets are designed by Eric J. Van Wyk. The Cargill Stage will be magically converted to an intimate, preschool-sized forest, gently welcoming toddlers into the performance space to play. The Biggest Little House in the Forest runs January 24 through March 17.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Elizabeth Doran Executive Director), in association with Todd Gershwin and Daniel Chilewich of One Night Productions, LLC, the Estate of Janis Joplin and Jeff Jampol of JAM, Inc. announced today that ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN will fill the fourth production slot in the current 2012 - 2013 season. Hailed by critics in Cleveland as a "feel-good, fist-pumping, must-see" show, ONE NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN has left audiences clamoring for tickets in Portland, Cleveland and Washington D.C. Now coming to The Pasadena Playhouse in celebration of the Los Angeles area's great Rock 'n' Roll history, performances will begin March 15 through April 11, with a press opening night on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. at The Pasadena Playhouse. Tickets are currently available with a 2012 - 2013 season subscription purchase. Single tickets will go on sale later this month.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional Theatre in Residence at the Oakes Center in Summit, will offer two workshops in Improvisational Comedy: Improv Comedy for Adults on January 26 from 10 am to 12 noon, and Improv Comedy for Teens (grades 7-12) on February 2 from 10 am to 12 noon. The workshops will be taught by improv master and Summit resident Dave Maulbeck, a Dreamcatcher company member and director of the popular comedy troupe Multiple Personality Disorder. No experience is require for this workshop, which offers students of all levels the opportunity to explore their own creativity in a supportive environment, to develop spontaneity and freedom, and to simply have fun.
