Brimmer Street Theatre Company has announced it will present the world premiere of All Your Hard Work by Miles Brandman, directed by Michael Matthews, at the Lillian Theatre in Hollywood, with performances beginning on Thursday, July 19. Opening night is set for Saturday, July 21 at 8:00. All Your Hard Work will play a strictly limited engagement through August 25.

The Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary October 11 - 14, 2012. To date the Festival has raised over $5 million to help fight hunger with the Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® campaign. An array of new and returning parties, seminars, wine dinners, brunches, and more one-of-a-kind events has been planned for this year's celebration.

On June 9th, crowds gathered at Zilker Hillside Theater for a free performance from the Austin Civic Orchestra. "The History of the March" was the subject of the evening. Verdi and Beethoven were on the program. There was even a bit of John Williams and his "Raiders of the Lost Ark" anthem. A guest conductor was also slated to appear. However, who the guest conductor was would not be known until the end of the performance.

Kentwood Players was founded in 1949 by Jan and Arky Marcom. At the end of each Kentwood Players season, all Kentwood Players members in good standing who have seen all six shows vote by secret ballot and then the group presents our annual Marcom Masque Awards to the winners in each category at an entertainment-filled dinner ceremony.

The poems of Robert Service, the famous "Bard of the Yukon," are set to music and used as inspiration in the world premiere of the new musical Wanderlust. A Festival commission, which is written and directed by Morris Panych with music and orchestration by Marek Norman, Wanderlust started previews on June 20 at the Tom Patterson Theatre.

Beginning October 24, Tommy Steele will return to the West End once again headlining SCROOGE, with direction from Bob Tomson and design from Paul Farnsworth. Whatsonstage.com reports today that the show is booking through January 5.

The New Theatre Project has announced that one additional performance of The Mute Quire will have to be added to the schedule in order to accommodate the overflowing crowds. An additional performance on Thursday, June 28 at 8 pm has been planned and will be a completely pay-what-you-can show. "Only have $1 - we want you! Have $100? Well how could we say no?" says Artistic Director Keith Paul Medelis.

The circus heads to the public library on Tuesday, July 10 for an exciting workshop teaching circus tricks as inspired by literature. The event is part of the inaugural series "A Moment of…LOUD," co-presented this summer by the New York Public Library (NYPL) and Souleo Enterprises LLC. A Moment of…LOUD invites New Yorkers to get LOUD in the library as normally quiet libraries throughout New York City are transformed into pop-up performance/workshop spaces.
