Jessica has worked in theater for nearly ten years. She has worked in theatrical production for the producers of STOMP, DAMN YANKEES, NUNSENSE, DINNER WITH FRIENDS and more, and for over 5 years has been involved in the Whoopi Goldberg-produced White Noise, having discovered the production at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival. She has since helped foster its growth through multiple large-scale workshops and two major commercial productions as an Associate Producer. After dedicating many years to theatrical and live entertainment production work that has taken her all over the world in 2009 she assumed the post of Senior Managing Editor at BroadwayWorld.com, the largest theater site on the net, for which she controls operations, routinely interviews Broadway's A-list talent and films/edits a bulk of the sites popular BWW TV content. She is a graduate of Brown University and has worked professionally in production for the Brown University Department of Theatre, Speech and Dance, Rights and Reasons Theatre, the New York Theatre Workshop and more.

New York City Center will reopen following a historic renovation and modernization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and star-studded gala on Tuesday, October 25 at New York City Center. Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will conduct the Encores! Orchestra in the opening number (as a nod to Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia, who conducted the New York Philharmonic when City Center opened as a performing arts center in 1943).

Two-time Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Bobby Cannavale will star as Nick Arnstein opposite Lauren Ambrose, who will star as Fanny Brice, in the first Broadway revival of FUNNY GIRL since the 1964 original production. FUNNY GIRL, which features music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Bob Merrill and book by Isobel Lennart, will be directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher. FUNNY GIRL will play at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from January 15 through February 26, 2012. Several special musical recordings will highlight the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13. Daniel Radcliffe joins the cast of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in singing for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, the annual holiday CD benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). He sings 'A Christmas Carol,' by humorist and composer Tom Lehrer.

Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post this morning that the new musical Once, inspired by Dublin street performers and a stage adaptation of the eponymous film, may make it's Broadway debut in February of 2012. The musical recently received a workshop at the American Repertory Theatre in Boston and will be given a full production at the New York Theatre Workshop in December.

The event featured representatives from dozens of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows plus Times Square attractions, restaurants, and cultural institutions that helped attendees unlock the educational possibilities that coincide with Broadway and Times Square. The producers of the new musical Peter & I have announced that the show will receive a production at the Chernuchin Theater at the American Theater of Actors as part of The Araca Project, a new program created by The Araca Group to support emerging theatre artists. Despite previous speculation, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that they currently have no plans to bring their Tony Award-winning musical to the big screen. Though Parker recently told Entertainment Weekly: 'Hopefully it will have a big run and a big tour and then we can do the movie in several years,' he now clarifies that it is something the pair is only considering for the future. He explains to The Hollywood Reporter: 'We did a stage show and it worked out way better than we ever thought, and we'd like it to be that for a while, you know, without contaminating it with a movie.'

On Monday September 19, 2011, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, and host comedian Harrison Greenbaum, announced the 2011 recipients at the Seventh Annual IT Awards Ceremony at Cooper Union. This year's nominees represent 169 individual artists, 55 productions and 45 theatre companies. In 2011, the IT Awards had the most individual nominees than in any previous season with 169 nominees.
