As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the life of legendary Broadway composer Jerry Bock will be celebrated Monday January 24th at Roundabout's American Airlines Theater (227 West 42nd Street) at 2:30pm. The celebration is open to the public, on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 2pm. The latest list of performers scheduled to appear are Kate Baldwin, Brigid Brady, Susan Cella, Barbara Cook, Harvey Fierstein, Boyd Gaines, Roundabout's Todd Haimes, Bock's longtime collaborator Sheldon Harnick, Hal Linden (and his original Rothschilds' 'sons:' David Garfield, Alan Gruet, Paul Hecht, Tim Jerome and Chris Sarandon), Joe Masteroff, Howard McGillin, Brad Oscar, producer Stuart Ostrow, Austin Pendleton, Lonny Price, Harold Prince, Chita Rivera, Bock's longtime friend and attorney Richard M. Ticktin, Rachel Ulanet, Tony Walton, Sherman Yellen and Bock's daughter Portia, among others. Michael Montel will stage the event.

This morning, morning television icon Regis Philbin, who has been the male anchor of ABC's Live! for nearly 25 years, announced that come the start of fall he would be retiring from his post. He did not specify a specific farewell date.

TVLine's Michael Ausiello got the scoop on an exciting duet on an upcoming episode of GLEE. The Public Theater and La MaMa present a one-night only encore benefit performance of the Belarus Free Theater's acclaimed production of Being Harold Pinter. The show was a sold out hit at this year's Under The Radar Festival. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Belarus Free Theater who is facing persecution in their homeland and barely escaped prison to travel to New York to perform this powerful piece of political theater. The event will take place tonight, January 17 and benefit the Belarus Free Theater.

As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Broadway producer Bob Boyett is endeavoring to revive FUNNY GIRL on Broadway with famed director Bartlet Sher (South Pacific, Awake and Sing, Light in the Piaza) at the helm. The pair are currently planning a six week out-of-town tryout in late 2011 in preparation for a swift Broadway transfer later that season, according to the report. This would be the first revival of the show on Broadway. Boyett currently secures the rights.

Deadline.com has just announced that SPIDER-MAN's Bono and The Edge have recruited British record producer Steve Lillywhite to assist the creative team in working with the cast on the multi-million dollar mega-musical. Lillywhite has collaborated with U2 on 8 of their hit albums. Michael Colh, lead producer on Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has revealed to the Wall Street Journal that the final version of the show's finale has yet to be incorporated into the show and has not yet been seen by anyone - himself included. Cohl tells the Journal: 'The actual ending that we have planned is still not in the show,' he said. 'Nobody's seen it - including us, by the way.' When asked if the show's February 7 opening date was still set, Cohl vaguely replied: 'It's life-I don't expect it to [change], but it's life.'

On January 3, 2011, Cabaret's original Sally Bowles, Jill Haworth passed away at age 65 of what was reported to be natural causes. In celebration of her life, Michael Gregg Michaud composed the following tribute to the late star. Michaud was a good friend of the actress and author of the biography of Sal Mineo, who was Haworth's lover for many years.

While making the press rounds to promote his new flick, Green Hornet, Seth Rogan cleared up the rumors once and for all that he will not be starring in the film version of ROCK OF AGES. Rogan tells MTV News: 'I heard that rumor, but I can't sing at all...I would be the worst guy to put in that movie. I saw 'Rock of Ages.' It was pretty good. I liked the music. But I can't sing. I think people should be aware of that...Yeah, I know nothing about any real version of that.'
