Born and raised on the island of Maui in Hawaii, James is currently a student at the University of Hawaii studying theatre with interest in all aspects of the art. He has been involved with the Maui theatre community for the past four years as an actor, stage hand, and volunteer.

The Maui OnStage production of the racy musical 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' played its final show on August 2, 2009 to an enthusiastic full house. The production, which was presented at the Historic Iao Theater home of Maui OnStage, played 12 performances spanning four weekends.
