Walden Theatre will conclude its 2010-2011 season with the 2011 Young American Shakespeare Festival. This annual showcase presents three Shakespeare plays performed in repertory by Walden's advanced students. This year's plays will run from May 12 to May 22.

The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts will kick the summer off with a concert production of the popular rock musical Chess. The show will play the Mex Theater at the Center from Thursday, June 2th to Saturday, June 4th at 7:30 p.m. each night.

The Actors Theatre of Louisville will present Ten-Minute Plays as the conclusion of the 35th Anniversary Humana Festival of New American Plays. This evening, performing on Saturday, April 2 at 9:00pm and Sunday, April 3 at 4:30pm, will include works by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Gregory Hischak and Laura Eason.

History Theatre will be producing two plays to run in rep during the month of March. Up first is A Tale of Twin Cities, a new play written by beloved Minnesota storyteller Kevin Kling with music composed and arranged by Simone Perrin, running from March 12 - April 3. The other play will be the heartfelt and humorous one-woman show American as Curry Pie by local artist Aamera Siddiqui, running from March 17 - April 10.

Park Square Theatre will wrap up its 2010/2011 season with two premiere plays. First will be Michael Hollinger's OPUS, presented from May 6-29 with opening night on May 13, followed by Joseph Goodrich Area's Edgar Award winning PANIC, presented from June 10 - July 10 with opening night on June 17. Both shows promise to thrill audiences and to end Park Square's year with a bang.

Meridian Little Theatre will finish its 2010-2011 season with a production of HAIRSPRAY. The Broadway hit will run from Thursday, May 12, to Wednesday, May 18, with an open dress rehearsal on Wednesday, May 11.

Bellevue Little Theatre is pleased to announce the opening and Midwest premiere of a new musical comedy, 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.' The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players will appear at the Capitol Theater in the Overture Center for the Arts to perform The Mikado on March 26 at 8pm. Gilbert & Sullivan's lush Eastern operetta, their ninth collaboration, shattered every record in the late 1880s, becoming arguably the most popular work in the history of musical theater.
