Samuel Beckett's modern classic 'Waiting for Godot' opened March 21, 2012 and continues through April 22 at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. The 2012 Howard Kleinberg Award recipient has been announced by the Carbonells. Established in 2000, the award is named after Howard Kleinberg, long-time Editor of The Miami News, historian, and author of numerous articles and books on the social and cultural history of Miami and South Florida. It is awarded as special recognition for contributions to the health and development of the arts in South Florida. This year's honor will go to Mary A. Becht.

Atlanta Opera Zurich General Director Dennis Hanthorn today announced the Atlanta Opera's 2012-2013 season. The Atlanta Opera's 2012-2013 mainstage productions at the Cobb Energy Centre will feature Bizet's popular classic Carmen, November 10-18, 2012; Verdi's tragic and romantic opera La traviata, March 2-10, 2013; and Rossini's comic opera The Italian Girl in Algiers, April 27-May 5, 2013. Season tickets are now on sale for the three Atlanta Opera mainstage productions at Cobb Energy Centre. Also announced were a donor benefits program called MyOpera, a completely new approach to issuing donor benefits in the world of the performing arts; 2012-2013 community engagement initiatives, including the hugely successful 24-Hour Opera Project and High School Opera Institute; and the details of the 2012 Atlanta Opera Ball: A Night in Seville, a fundraiser supporting and sustaining the exceptional artistic quality of The Atlanta Opera. La MaMa presents Poor Baby Bree in I Am Going to Run Away, a one-woman musical conceived and performed by Bree Benton, with an original book written by Bree Benton and fifteen archival songs from the golden age of vaudeville (1890s-1930s). I Am Going to Run Away is directed by David Schweizer, with musical direction by Franklin Bruno (on piano), and featuring Karen Waltuch (on viola) and Jacob Garchik (on tuba and trombone). The Gang of Outlaws Tour brings three leaders of their respective genres together for six weeks of performances this May and June. Joining the legendary ZZ Top are 3 Doors Down and, on most of the dates, Gretchen Wilson. The tour will alight at select eastern, southern and mid western venues, kicking off May 25 in Manchester, NH.

Blues guitarist and songwriter Meyer Rossabi brings his band to B.B. Kings Blues Club in NYC to open for the recording artist Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, on June 1, 2012 at 8pm.

Former Jersey Boys star Erich Bergen will co-star with Amber Stevens, Craig Horner, Brooklyn Sudano, and Scott Wolf in the CW pilot Joey Dakota, about a documentarian who falls in love with a rock star. Bergen played Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio in the first national tour and Las Vegas companies of the Broadway smash Jersey Boys. In Los Angeles, he has appeared in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for Reprise, Venice for Center Theatre Group, and A Snow White Christmas for Lythgoe Family Productions. Previous television credits include, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Person of Interest, and Franklin & Bash. Bergen's debut CD, The Las Vegas Sessions, was released in October, 2010.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Fox Associates announced today that tickets for the long-awaited return engagement of DISNEY'S THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00am. St. Louis' most eagerly awaited return will once again leap onto the Fox Theatre stage on Wednesday, August 15 for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, September 2.
