Christina Mancuso, a mother of 3, has traveled to well over 70 cities on various Broadway National Tours. She is now residing in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio after spending a year in NYC to support her daughter's Broadway debut. Besides writing, traveling, and mothering, she is a 13-time marathon runner (including the 2015 Boston Marathon), freelance artist, classical violinist, and a previous Paralegal with over 20 years of writing and research experience. Mancuso is listed in 'Who's Who Worldwide' and has been recognized for "Outstanding Leadership in Media" by the International Women's Leadership Association.

A celebration of musical talent from Iowa high school students will soon take the Des Moines Civic Center stage. On Monday, June 6, 2016 at 7:00 p.m., Des Moines Performing Arts will present the fourth annual Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards Showcase that will recognize 34 high schools from across the state. The program has continued to grow by leaps and bounds since nine schools first participated during its inaugural year in 2012. Check out the preview video below!

Lyric Opera of Chicago presents its grand-scale production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, featuring Broadway stars Kate Baldwinand Paolo Montalban as Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam. Additional Broadway artists Ali Ewoldt (Tuptim), Alan Ariano (The Kralahome) and Rona Figueroa (Lady Thiang) join the cast, along with Sam Simahk (Lun Tha) and Chicagoland artists Charlie Babbo (Louis Leonowens), Jomar Ferreras (Interpreter), John Lister(Captain Orton), David Parkes (Sir Edward Ramsay), Peter Sipla (Phra Alack) and Matthew Uzarraga (Prince Chulalongkorn). The Jeff Awards Committee today announced 121 nominations in 24 categories for the 43rd Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2015, and March 31, 2016. The Non-Equity Awards honor excellence in Chicago theatres not under a union contract. Jeff judges attended opening nights of 148 productions offered by 67 Non-Equity producing organizations. The Jeff Committee recommended 65 of those shows (or 44%), making them eligible for Non-Equity Jeff Award nominations. Of the 65 Jeff Recommended productions, a record 53 (or 82%) received nominations, representing 32 theatre companies.

The 7th Annual Columbus Creative Industry Mixer (CCIM) by Matthew Roharik was held this year at Park Street Cantina, where the red carpet was rolled out for the 'Movie Night Premier' theme, uniting all the top creative enthusiasts, including artists, designers, stylists, models, photographers, talent agents, producers, actors and more. With nearly 1,000 guests, Columbus was certainly the place to be on April 15th, where you could network locally with all the who's-who in the creative industry from around the country.
