Following a two-year search, we are proud to announce the appointments of Marc Goldberg as Riverside Symphony's principal bassoonist and Gina Cuffari as the orchestra's second bassoonist. The search was initiated after our founding bassoonist, Lauren Goldstein, retired to Canada in 2007.

SAN DIEGO REPERTORY THEATRE in partnership with THE SAN DIEGO SCHOOL OF CREATIVE AND PERFORMING ARTS (SCPA) is proud to present Southern California's first regional production of the hit musical comedy HAIRSPRAY.

Marta Dusseldorp and Anita Hegh feature in Australian playwright Anthony Weigh's Like A Fishbone, as part of Sydney Theatre Company's Next Stage program. The production, directed by Tim Maddock, is a collaboration with Griffin Theatre Company following last year's successful Wharf 2 co-production of Ross Mueller's Concussion. Performances are at Wharf 1 from 16 July to 7 August 2010.

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC), Maryland's leading professional classics theatre, will have its longest stay ever at its Ellicott City summer home in 2010. CSC will present seven weekends of programming to accommodate its growing summer audiences. The eight-year-old company will mount its very first production of Hamlet and a first-time CSC director will helm the production of the always popular Much Ado About Nothing.

The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s classical theater ensemble, continues ClassicsFest 2010 with an invigorating 'summer splash' of actor-initiated workshops, readings, and special events. Audiences can choose from a veritable smorgasbord of the classics between July 6 and August 15 at the company's interim home, Deaf West Theatre in the NoHo Arts District. All readings and workshops are $10.

To accommodate tourists interested in experiencing the sacred sites and rich history of the Lower East Side, the Lower East Side Jewish Conservancy (LESJC) is continuing its program of tours initiated last year. Tours will begin on June 17 and continue through December 30, 2010. Each tour will be approximately 90 minutes.

The Drilling Company's Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot will open its 2010 season with 'Love's Labours Lost,' directed by Kathy Curtis, July 8 to 24. The season will also include 'Julius Caesar,' directed by Hamilton Clancy, July 29 to August 14. This is the 19th consecutive year for Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot, a favorite New York summertime cultural treat that is performed free in a municipal parking lot at the corner of Ludlow and Broome Streets, Manhattan.
