The Drilling Company, known for its short play projects and downtown Shakespeare in the PArking Lot, now in its 11th season, will premiere a hilarious new comedy from longtime collabortator Stephen Bittrich. Opening January 20th and running until February 6th, Thursday - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., at The Drilling Company Theatre, 236 West 78th Street on the third floor, between Amsterdam and Broadway, just 1 block south of the 1 train at 79th Street.

In 2011, The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) celebrates its fifteenth anniversary. To mark the occasion, on Sunday, January 9, the first of many special events will be offered: FringeTALK, a live-streamed town hall event during which anyone from anywhere in the world can ask anything about the festival via Twitter or Facebook and/or our built in chat room.

Broadway singer/actress Janet Dacal will perform the National Anthem at this years Outback Bowl, officials announced today. Dacal is currently playing the role of Alice in Frank Wildhorn's WONDERLAND, coming to Broadway in the Spring of 2011. WONDERLAND will hold its pre-Broadway engagement at the Straz Center Jan. 4-16, 2011.

The acclaimed playwright and filmmaker will take questions from the audience in a discussion moderated by theater director/acting coach Howard Fine.

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, based on the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker, began previews December 14, prior to its official press opening January 5 at the Little Shubert Theatre (442 West 42nd Street). Paul Alexander directs the new production.
