This cult classic examines the desperation of unemployment, while celebrating the insanity of Christmas shopping and the ineffable 'cheer' of the holiday spirit.

HAIR won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival as well as the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical. HAIR was also nominated for an additional seven Tony Awards including Best Direction, Best Choreography, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design. The cast recording was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.

Audiences will be immersed in the nostalgic charm of the 1940's from the minute they enter the theatre - with ushers in red uniforms, live Foley sound effects and real vintage commercials. The Arcade Theatre will be transformed into a New York City radio studio, and the magic will begin a half hour before curtain time when the theatre will come to life with a pre-show glimpse into the world of the mid-1940's.

On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, Tony Award winner Roger Rees will perform his one-man show, What You Will in a special appearance at the Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF. Rees replaces Brian Bedford, who, due to scheduling conflicts, will be unable to perform his one-man show, The Lunatic, The Lover and the Poet, as previously announced.

Florida Studio Theatre (FST) announces the cast & creative team for The Last Romance by Joe DiPietro, beginning December 7. The international smash hit musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is set on December 4, 1956, when an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll" who was responsible for launching the careers of each icon, brought the four legendary musicians together at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock 'n' roll jam sessions in history.

The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds tells the story of Tillie, a hopeful and focused dreamer who struggles to keep her aspirations alive amidst the chaos of her home-life, controlled by a desperate mother wonting of love and a rebellious sister. Tensions are elevated on the night of the school science fair where Tillie is hoping to be acknowledged for her project on the effect of gamma rays on man-in-the-moon marigolds. First published in 1970, the play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, and the Obie Award for Best American Play.

The Main Street Players announced the world premiere of For the Love of Money, a one-man show by Daniel Nieves, showing December 2, 3, and 4 at the Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes. For the Love of Money follows the rise of Charles 'Lucky' Luciano, one of America's most infamous crime bosses, from his childhood in the hills of Sicily, through his rise to become one of the most powerful organized crime lords in the world, and ending in his imprisonment and eventual exile.
