Amanda Etchison is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University, where she pursued a double major in journalism and Chinese within the university Honors Program. Currently residing in Columbus, Ohio, Amanda is a freelance writer for CityScene Media Group's family of magazines and online publications. Amanda has previously contributed to The Arizona Republic in Phoenix, Arizona, and other national publications throughout the USA TODAY NETWORK. She has also served as Editor in Chief of The Lantern, the student-run daily news publication of Ohio State’s Columbus campus. A lover of music and theater, Amanda has played the French horn in a variety of pit orchestras and music ensembles throughout high school and college. When she is not writing, Amanda enjoys playing the piano, reading and trying out new nail art designs.
