The proximity to the Count's chambers Figaro seems an advantage, but he is taught by Susanna that this proximity also have their dangers. Because the count had indeed the old gentleman right jus primae noctis waived, but not on Figaro's Susanna. And other dangers threaten Figaro, without having guessed it: Marcellina, housekeeper in the palace of the Count, Figaro has borrowed money against the time from a long-forgotten promise of marriage, they now remember to present the change. My advisor, Dr. Bartolo is this demand with the necessary vigor - and not vorzuweisen a bill for pranks endured without his hand - contribute. The antipathy between Susanna and Marcellina, however, would require little more concrete reasons: It manifests itself in mere questions of etiquette.
Cherubino, the page Susanna surprised. He asks her to intercede with the Countess of him so revered, so they appease the count, who discovered it in a love affair with the gardener's daughter, Barbarina. The unexpected entrance of the Count makes the pages look behind an armchair cover. Barely made the first advances of the Earl of pretty maid Susanna, he is surprised by the entrance of the music master Basilio. While he hides behind the armchair, Cherubino slides into the armchair and coincides there with a cloth. Long condones the Count certainly not in hiding: When he hears from the mouth of scheming music master that the Page recreates his wife, he emerges. Yes, the Page! Just the other day he had caught him at Barbarina! Cherubino's misfortune would have it, he will be discovered here. The punishment is terrible: he receives a commission and must immediately leave the squad. Too strong for the way in which the people celebrated the Count as a protector of innocence, he reciprocates by initially denied he and the award ceremony of the bridal veil to Susanna.

The Page, head over heels in love with the Countess, appears willing and sent to the panel. But there knocking at the door: The letter had a different than the desired effect - the Count wants the wife to task immediately and penetrates into her room. Cherubino slips into the cabinet, Susanna hides. The Count demands that the door will open. The refusal of the Countess is it reason enough to break the door. He goes to fetch the appropriate tools and forces the Countess, to accompany him. This term benefits Cherubino to save with Susanna's help through a bold leap from the window. Count and Countess return to-back. Before it comes to extremes, the Countess admits the planned intrigue - but from the Cabinet emerges not Cherubino, but Susanna. The Count seems embarrassed and begs for forgiveness. As a Figaro enters at the wrong time. He is interviewed by the Count because of the letter, but denies everything. Finally, it appears the gardener who claims someone had jumped out the window. The Count's suspicions awakened anew, especially the refugee lost a paper that was picked up by the gardener. To save the situation, Figaro takes on everything: he himself had jumped out of the window to escape from the Count, because he felt bad because of the letter. What he had lost it-ing? The Countess and Susanna manages to secretly convey to him the right answer: It was the officer's of pages and it lacked the seal, so Figaro have taken it to be eliminate this form of error. The Count gives ge-beat. But already appear Marcellina, Bartolo and Basilia to make their claim against Figaro claims. The Count, glad to have found an opportunity to shift the wedding of his valet, promises judicial inquiry.

The Countess and Susanna have concocted a new plan. They will exchange the clothes in the evening, the Countess will then come to Susanna's place to rendezvous with the Count. It promises to be the reflection of her husband, Susanna, the favorable outcome of the trial between Figaro and Marcellina. First, the count should be obtained on Rendezvous: This Susanna succeed with little effort. Their success makes them but again by a thoughtless, wiretapped by the word count of the triumph of Figaro naught. The Count suspects why Susanna was responsive, therefore wants to leave the verdict otherwise fail, as they hoped! The judge Don Curzio is a compliant instrument of the count's wishes. But then something unexpected happens: It turns out that Marcellina and Bartolo, Figaro's parents are. Now the two have nothing to object against Susanna.
Her love for her husband, the Countess can hold on to their plan. A recent invitation by Susanna is necessary, the note written by her to the dictates of the Countess and closed with a needle. As a sign of approval that needle should be returned. Barbarina, the gardener's daughter, and other girls bring flowers to the Countess. Cherubino has mixed in women's clothes under it. The Count finds him so much. But Barbarina knows the means to let the Count refrain from any further persecution; takes is a word from her ...
A feast is given, the Count must, ill-tempered, agree to the connection Susanna and Figaro. His mood improved, however, when he gets slipped the note of Susanna. The note in his hand by the way does not go unnoticed, nor the fact that the Count himself scratches on the needle Figaro suspects that some beautiful invites the Count to the rendezvous.

Park in the dark but other revelers go. The countess, in Susanna's clothes, is beset by Cherubin pages, but is chased by the Count. After this victory, the Count invites the supposed Susanna into a bower. Figaro is appalled, but not for long: the one he kept for the countess, he recognizes the voice as his Susanna! But he plays the comedy initially with, exaggerates it even by the "Countess" throwing themselves at your feet. He promptly gets a slap. But then peace is made between the two.
The deception is repeated again for the count, who also, notwithstanding that he himself goes on secret ways of love, the need to avenge the alleged misconduct on his wife believes. He calls for weapons to people he wants to compromise his wife. From the arbor he drags out Cherubino, Barbarina, and then the disguised Susanna - and only comes to reason, as the Countess appears in Susanna's clothes and reveals his identity. Now the Count recognizes his error and asks for forgiveness, which is also granted. The marriage of Figaro and Susanna is now, at the end of this great day, nothing in the way.
