Concert of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR to be performed at Vienna's Ronacher Theatre

A concert version of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, starring American actor Drew Sarich, is set to be performed at the Ronacher Theatre March 23rd-April 2nd. Written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, the duo's second attempt at a biblical musical (following JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT) started as a concept album before making its debut on Broadway in 1971. It was still a decade away from making its Vienna debut, being first shown there in 1981.
