Zephyr Quartet is one of Australia's most versatile and adventurous stringquartets, renowned as much for their exploration of musical styles as theirinnovative collaborations.
2009 marks the 10 th Anniversary of this South Australian-based outfit and willbe a year of reflections and new beginnings. Over the last decade, Zephyr Quartet has worked with many inspiring and dynamic artists across a range of artistic genres, and this spirit of collaboration will resonate through Zephyr's celebratory 2009 Concert Series.
Drawing on music of many eras, influences and styles, the Awakeningsconcert, with outstanding and versatile Australian soprano Jane Sheldon, willexplore themes of sleep and awakening through the ages.
