Windmill Theatre Brings CIRCUS INCOGNITUS to Her Majesty's Theatre, Now thru Oct 6

Windmill Theatre presents the award winning Canadian born acrobatic clown Jamie Adkins (Cirque du Soleil soloist, and Montréal's Cirque Éloize) in his internationally acclaimed one man show Circus Incognitus for nine performances from today, 2 through 6 October at Her Majesty's Theatre.

Suitable for ages five and over Circus Incognitus is the story of a man who has something to say, but can't quite get it out … because of his fear of speaking in public. To overcome his fear he has to get creative and finds an unusual solution to his problem! Right side up and upside down, Jamie finds the magic hidden in just about anything. Balancing precariously on towering ladders, wrangling an animated chair and juggling anything he can find.

Created and performed by Jamie Adkins, Circus Incognitus, is a showcase of his astonishing acrobatic skills and sidesplitting wit combined with an imaginative story about never giving up, which has captivated audiences around the world.

Jamie Adkins is a two-time drama desk nominee for his critically acclaimed seasons at New Yorks' Victory Theatre in 2005 and 2011; a bronze medal winner at the Festival international de Cirque de Demain Paris, France and winner of the Annie Fratellinni Clown Prize Festival international de Cirque de Demain Paris France.

Jamie began his career at the age of thirteen in San Diego, where he delighted passers-by as a street performer. Later, in San Francisco, he joined the Pickle Family Circus. Then this eclectic clown, juggler, balancing artist and one-hundred percent poet joined Montréal's Cirque Éloize. With his numerous talents and years of experience, this multidisciplinary acrobat was soon an integral member of the Cirque Éloize family of artists, making an invaluable contribution of the show Excentricus. In more than 500 performances of this production, Jamie distinguished himself with his unique style that faithfully and humorously conveyed the essence of the ordinary man.

Jamie teamed up with Cirque Éloize to produce Typo, a show of his own creation, which toured the world giving more than 200 performances over two years, winning the admiration of critics and adoration of the circus-going public.
