Sydney Theatre Company collaborates with British physical theatre innovators Frantic Assembly for the razor-sharp Stockholm by Bryony Lavery (Frozen) at The Wharf, opening on 17 March 2010, followed by a tour that takes in Parramatta and Brisbane.

The production uses a unique approach combining dance, music, design and text to dramatise a relationship that is founded on co-dependency, obsession and passion.
Australian actors Socratis Otto and Leeanna Walsman play Todd and Kali, a self-styled blissfully happy couple. They live in a funky, tasteful pad, enjoy the occasional arthouse film, celebrate birthdays with fabulous getaways and have fantastic sex. On the eve of their trip to Sweden's capital, hidden away from the world, families, friends and love rivals, they are at their happiest.

However, as the evening proceeds, their immaculate kitchen may be as dangerous as it is beautiful and the lines between tenderness and cruelty are blurred with shocking results.

Formed in 1994 by Artistic Directors Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett, Frantic Assembly is one of the UK's most exciting and unique companies, working collaboratively to produce uncompromising shows that place equal emphasis on movement, design, music and text. While Australian audiences have seen Hoggett's award winning choreography for Black Watch, this re-mount of their 2008 piece is the first time the Company's innovative work has been performed in Australia.

Directors and Choreographers: Scott Graham and Steven Hoggett. Set Designer: Laura Hopkins.
