PEACE TRAIN - THE CAT STEVENS STORY to Tour Australia, Feb - June 2014
By: Tyler Peterson
Continuing on from his successful tour in 2013, Peace Train - The Cat Stevens Story is back and touring Australia from February - June 2014.
Since its debut performance at the Wagga Civic Theatre back in 2009, Darren Coggan's Peace Train, has gone on to inspire many others, playing to standing ovations in the most prestigious venues in Australia including The Sydney Opera House. This tour of this shows' incredible journey sees Darren recreating Cat's timeless, intimate songs as they were originally written - on an acoustic guitar and piano, seeking out the man in the music and telling the story behind the songs. "It's been a wonderful journey touring Australia with this show and presenting Peace Train in a more intimate setting as been met with an amazing reaction from people all over the country," said Darren Coggan. "The singer-songwriter genre and particularly the music of Cat Stevens lends itself beautifully to an acoustic setting. It's good to go back to the well and hear the songs as they were originally written, on just an acoustic guitar and piano."Videos
