JEWISH-ISH Comes to Sydney Comedy Festival
By: Stephi Wild
Since leaving a career in law for comedy, Michael Shafar has been trying to assuage the concerns of his Jewish mother by becoming one of the fastest rising stars in Australian comedy, reaching the RAW Comedy National Final in 2016, selling out shows across the country and touring internationally.
Michael is now debuting at the Sydney Comedy Festival with Jewish-ish, a show that SOLD OUT its entire season and extra show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. "It's a show about being culturally Jewish. I'm not religious, but I come from a wealthy family and have a diverse share portfolio, so I'm culturally Jewish."
Tickets: $15 at www.sydneycomedyfest.com.au
