GETTING BETTER Comes to The Butterfly Club

Depression, anxiety and PTSD affect many people in western society today. Youth and veteran suicide rates are increasing with the need for support services is outstripping supply.

In this brand new, one man play 'Getting Better', join Captain Krankypants aka Trace Dann, on his journey into and out of the pit of despair. From a life of inner turmoil, stress, unhappiness, displeasure, annoyance, anger and distrust, we follow his path to a new life of self-awareness, acceptance, trust and happiness.

'After more than 30 years in the work force and 19 years in the military, including multiple tours to battle zones, I have a relatively unique outlook on life,' said Trace Dann (performer, writer and producer). "Getting Better" includes a variety of delivery methods to help audiences understand this complex, serious and contemporary subject. There is music, some light humour and, of course, pathos as you see my fall into the pit in all its glory, before sharing my fight to start living again.'

'Getting Better' provides a valuable insight into the feelings and behaviours of people with depression, anxiety and PTSD. It is ideal for not just people suffering with the conditions but also for families and friends who are wanting to understand why their loved ones behave the way they do.

'Getting Better' is to be performed at The Butterfly Club on 25 and 26 July at 5:30pm. Tickets are $35 and available at online or at the box office.
