JOLT Arts Inc returns to fortyfivedownstairs to explore the history and aesthetics of the Gothic in Melbourne's culture.

Composer, pianist and creator of extraordinary mechanised sound machines, James Hullick has presented some truly remarkable music events here, described by one critic as "a near perfect fusion of sound and performance art" (Arts Hub)

Musicians involved in the first concert collaboration include Belinda Woods (flute) Adam Simmons (woodwinds) Jason Bunn (viola) and Anita Hustas (double Bass): in the second concert, Peter Neville (percussion) Caerwen Martin (cello) and Andrea Keeble (violin)
