A HERO'S GUIDE TO SAVING THE PLANET Comes to Braybrook Community Hub

This October, wit incorporated brings A Hero's Guide to Saving the Planet to Braybrook, for free! Flying, dancing and saving the planet are all in a day's work for Captain Eco and The Green Defender in this environmental superhero story for all ages.

Created by Artistic Director, Belinda Campbell, A Hero's Guide to Saving the Planet brings all the fun of 1960s television Batman into the 21st Century, with silly jokes, sillier gags and some epic ukulele songs.

As Captain Eco and her sidekick The Green Defender race against time to discover who has been covering the streets of Braybrook with litter, super-villain The Waster continues her plot to cover the world with trash. With the help of the superheroes and their guide book, audiences learn about recycling, reusing, reducing and what happens (or doesn't happen) to plastic after we've finished with it.

'Our planet is in serious trouble,' Belinda says. 'We have to make changes now, for the sake of our children and our planet's future. These superheroes are here to inspire audiences to change their behaviour, without feeling overwhelmed by the tasks ahead. But most importantly, this is a fun show for the whole family.'

wit incorporated are also inviting principals and teachers from local schools to come along to our free show in October and talk to the team about school incursions. "We've specifically designed this show for community touring and incursions," says director and designer, Jennifer Piper. "We can set up in a space as small as a classroom or as big as a gymnasium, and with our Teacher Resource Kit and optional guidebook for students, we can even work with schools to create a thematic approach to learning.
