Texas State Production of 'WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT...' to Examine African Genocide

Texas State University's Department of Theatre and Dance will stage We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as Southwest Africa, From the German Südwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915, running Thursday, November 9, through Sunday, November 12.

We Are Proud to Present..., written by Jackie Sibblies Drury, tells the story of the genocide in German South West Africa (modern-day Namibia), undertaken by the German Empire against the Herero, Nama and San people. The play will be directed by Isaac Byrne.

Evening shows will be at 7:30 p.m. The matinee performance, on November 12, will be at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the PSH Foundation Studio Theatre.
