AUSTIN, TEXAS-Broadway Across America today announced the company's Austin 2011–2012 Season, extending from September 2011 to June 2012 at Texas Performing Arts' Bass Concert Hall, with select performances at The Long Center.

Housed in the beautiful, recently renovated Bass Concert Hall and the striking new Long Center, the Broadway Across America-Austin 2011–2012 Season offers a sensational five-show lineup plus a season special, including:

Five-show Broadway Across America - Austin season ticket packages are on sale now, and prices start at $128. For more information, patrons can visit BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com/Austin or call the Broadway Across America Season Ticket Hotline at 800-731-SHOW (7469) during extended renewal hours of Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m; the deadline for current Season Ticket Holders to renew their seats is April 29. RAIN – A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES
September 20–25, 2011 – The Long Center

Rodgers & Hammerstein'S SOUTH PACIFIC

This breathtaking new production of SOUTH PACIFIC is based on the 2008 Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center Theater production, directed by Bartlett Sher. Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. LES MISÉRABLES

Cameron Mackintosh presents a brand new 25th Anniversary production of Boublil & Schönberg's legendary musical, LES MISÉRABLES, with glorious new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.  This new production has been acclaimed by critics, fans and new audiences and is breaking box office records wherever it goes. The New York Times calls this LES MISÉRABLES "an unquestionably spectacular production from start to finish."  The London Times hails the new show "a five star hit, astonishingly powerful."

Long before that girl from Kansas arrives in Munchkinland, two girls meet in the land of Oz. One-born with emerald green skin-is smart, fiery and misunderstood.
