Woodruff Free Family Festival Announced for 6/10 ImageThe Woodruff Arts Center is pleased to announce its upcoming Family Fun Festival, which will take place on the Woodruff campus on June 10 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. as part of the Family Fun at The Woodruff Arts Center initiative. The free Family Festival will feature family-oriented programming led by the ALLIANCE THEATRE, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and High Museum of Art, including free performances of the ALLIANCE THEATRE's production of Winnie-the-Pooh at 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Other Winnie-the-Pooh-inspired Alliance activities include: Catch the Heffalump Acting Obstacle Course; Hunny Corn Hole; Costume Making - 100 Acre Ears; Eeyore's Birthday Dance Party; creative movement workshops; Piglet's Worry-Free Family Yoga; Pooh's Poetry Corner; and Kanga and Roo's Family Storytimes.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will host an instrument petting zoo which provides those in attendance with an opportunity to try out different instruments of the orchestra. In addition, the ASO will be presenting an instrument-making station where attendees can make their very own African talking drums, as well as musical storytimes, and music and movement workshops. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Music Discovery Zone, a space designed to encourage self-guided play with hands-on instruments, will be open and will feature several interactive workshops over the course of the afternoon.

The High Museum of Art will also be free to attendees through its Second Sunday program, offering free admission for all visitors and special programming on the second Sunday of each month. Special activities include Winnie-the-Pooh storytimes to accompany the High's Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic exhibition; Meet the Owl with the Chattahoochee Nature Center; Pooh's Picnic Basket demonstrations; still-life drawing; art-making workshops; and more.

Family Fun at the Woodruff Arts Center is free, but RSVPs are required. To learn more and to RSVP, visit www.alliancetheatre.org/familyfunjune10.
