Newnan Theatre Company to Host BATMAN Murder Mystery Dinner, 6/30

The latest installment of the Batman movies, "The Dark Knight Rises," is coming out in July, so to get in the mood NTC is producing a Batman-themed mystery dinner on June 30.

To kick off the festivities, on June 9 (10:00 am -- 1:00 pm) the Caped Crusader himself and Batman villains will be appearing live in downtown Newnan at Full Circle Toys, along with the Batmobile Tribute Car. Country music station The Bear (92.5 FM) will be doing a live remote broadcast. There will be drawings for free tickets to the upcoming Batman mystery theatre event, a space walk and slide for the kids courtesy of Space Walk of Coweta County, as well as games, treats, and general fun for all.

On June 30, Batman, Robin, and Batgirl are being honored for their heroic services to Gotham City. But even at a happy, peaceful gathering, evil can rear its ugly head. The Joker, Cat Woman, The Penguin and The Riddler (plus a few more fearsome foes) certainly can't stand to see those do-gooders praised by the entire city! You're invited to the feast, but beware! You will be asked to solve a mystery or two, so be on guard and keep your eyes peeled.

"Following our highly successful Murder at Hogwarts last year, NTC is ready to tackle the iconic world of Batman," said Artistic Director Paul Conroy. "This will be an interactive evening of mystery for the audience. You'll be treated to dinner, but prepare to move around the entire theatre as you track down clues and interact with cast members portraying the memorable Batman characters. It's good fun for everyone in the family who is a fan of the Caped Crusader."

Local vendors will be on site, including Full Circle Toys selling super hero action figures and collectibles.
