In continuing with an annual tradition of introducing young minds to ancient stories through their Family Classic Series, Georgia Shakespeare will present Mighty Myths & Legends, a collection of myths and legends adapted for the whole family to enjoy.

The cast of Mighty Myths & Legends will tell these tales in a unique way, revolving around a gorgeous 3,000 gallon pool of water. It's certain to be a theatrical experience unlike any other.

Mighty Myths & Legends covers well-loved myths such as Echo and Narcissus, Orpheus, Mermaids and Thor, as well as many others. A Nordic god puts his strength to the test. A magical mermaid wanders too far from home. A young man learns the meaning of trust when his mysterious wife has a secret. The greatest legends of human history come together in this action-packed original play adapted from international myths and legends, telling us very modern stories about love, consequences and transformation.

Adapted by Richard Garner and Allen O'Reilly and directed by Allen O'Reilly, Mighty Myths & Legends is a perfect outing for the whole family!

Georgia Shakespeare presents Mighty Myths & Legends, July 2 - 20, Wednesday - Saturday, 11:00 am and Tuesday, 11:00 am and 7:00 pm at the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University.
