Save the date for The Woodruff Arts Center's seventh Free Family Festival, which will take place on November 27 from 1 - 4 PM as part of the CREATE ATL Family Fun at The Woodruff Arts Center initiative.

This incredibly special holiday-themed festival will feature family-oriented programming led by the ALLIANCE THEATRE, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art. Families will enjoy exclusive performances of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra music and Atlanta Ballet Youth Ensemble dances from The Nutcracker, learn about multicultural holiday traditions through art-making and storytelling and even meet Santa's reindeer!

ALLIANCE THEATRE's Broadway-scale production of A Christmas Carol is a can't-miss event that will leave lasting holiday memories for festival-goers whether they are seeing the show again or for the very first time. Although this treasured holiday tradition is a free event, please note that tickets are required and will sell out before November 27! Register for free online at woodruffcreateATL.org.

For those wishing to perform their own holiday favorites, actors of all ages and skill levels can participate in the Reindeer Games: Improv Games workshop where they will create spontaneous holiday scenes with family members. The Rich Theatre will also feature a one-time rendition of Atlanta favorite Courtenay Collins' family-friendly version of her popular holiday cabaret show, Courtenay's Cabaret: Family Holiday Vacation.

The holidays are a perfect time to experience the music and talent of the Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. A Family Holiday Special is the quintessential holiday sing-along with Christmas classics for the whole family. Rumor has it that Santa will even make an appearance! Please note that this is a popular, ticketed event; pre-register for the Festival for free and get your tickets online at woodruffcreateATL.org. Outside Symphony Hall, families can enjoy Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Brass Quintet as they perform a mini-concert of holiday favorites in the Galleria. Future music-makers can also design, create and play their own instruments in the Instrument Making: Sleigh Bells workshop.

CREATE ATL activities do not include admission to the High Museum of Art, but with purchase of the new, lower-cost admission, families can explore both the whole museum and participate in several free activities! Bilingual Story Time is an event where engaging storytellers will bring favorite stories to life in English and Spanish at the High. The Get a Move On Art Making Workshop will allow artists of all ages to interact with High Museum teaching artists and create their own masterpieces. Families can also explore the High's exhibits on their own with a Get a Move On Gallery Guide (best for ages 5+) and with a guide as a part of the Docent-Guided Family Tour. Tiovivo, the large-scale interactive installation built for kids of all ages, is free and open to the public on Sifly Piazza - be sure to stop by for its last day on November 27!
