Dad's Garage Theatre Presents 44 PLAYS FOR 44 PRESIDENTS, 10/4-11/3

By:

Dad's Garage Theatre will present 44 Plays for 44 Presidents from October 4 - November 3 as part of the nationwide Plays for Presidents Festival 2012. The show packs 44 short plays--one about each US president-- into one 2-hour show and returns to Dad's Garage after making its Southeastern premiere there in 2002 when it featured just 43 Plays.

44 Plays for 44 Presidents will feature Karen Cassady, Rene Dellefont, Perry Frost, Chris Rittelmeyer, and Tom Rittenhouse, with live banjo accompaniment by David Stephens. The show is directed by Alison Hastings and Matt Horgan and was written by Andy Bayiates, SEan Benjamin, Genevra Gallo-Bayiates, Chloe Johnston, and Karen Weinberg.

Performances are at 8pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from October 4 to November 3, with a special Election Night performance on November 6 at 8pm. Tickets are $14 online, $16 by phone and at the door, and half-off with a student ID for Thursday performances, $16 online and $18 by phone and at the door for Friday performances, and $18 online and $20 by phone and at the door for Saturday performances. VIP Seating is available for every performance online and by phone for an additional $7. VIP Seats will not be available at the door. The show is rated PG.

Founded in 1995, Dad's Garage Theatre Company has grown from a small volunteer led organization to a thriving mid-size theatre led by professional artistic and administrative staff that includes over 300 volunteers and performers. We now entertain more than 30,000 people each year at our two-theatre facility in Inman Park, public events across the state, and at improv festivals across the continent. In addition to outrageous original productions, Dad’s Garage produces improv shows 52 weeks per year, educates young improvisers in a year-round high school outreach program, and facilitates onsite classes and workshops for the general public. The mission of Dad’s Garage is to engage, cultivate and inspire artists and audiences alike by producing innovative, scripted and improvised works that are recognized locally, nationally and internationally for being undeniably awesome.
