Zombies are hot for Halloween in 2013. Zombie lovers will flock to Terror on the Trail at Sims Lake Park the last three weekends of October, featuring more zombies.

By day, Sims Lake Park is an idyllic retreat for four-legged creatures on leashes, children who frolic on the playground and joggers who train along the 7-acre lake. But beware the park after dark! This October, the park's 1.2-mile looping trail will be transformed into a haunting backdrop for zombies and tales of terror.

In cooperation with the City of Suwanee, Aurora Theatre returns with Terror on the Trail, the last three weekends in October, Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12, 18 and 19 and 25 and 26. Legions of teenage zombies lead the brave of heart through Sims Lake Park to hear the frightening stories of their tormented captives. Tours begin at7:30pm with the last tour starting at 9:30pm, nightly. Tours last approximately 75 minutes.

Tickets are $15 in advance and available at www.terroronthetrail.com or by calling the Aurora Theatre Box Office at 678.226.6222. Tickets also may be purchased at the park for $18. Sims Lake Park is located at 4600 Suwanee Dam Road.

"After doubling the number of teenage zombies last year we have added even more. More Zombies equals more fun for our guests. This legion of undead teens lead guests to storytellers who will recount tales of horror," says Aurora Theatre Producing Artistic Director, Anthony Rodriguez. "We are proud to say that the teens participating in this year's event represent students from 28 middle and high schools in Gwinnett."

Terror on the Trail is somewhere between classic storytelling and a haunted house experience. There are some special effects, but nothing will jump out to startle visitors.

Guests are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear and to dress for the weather. No flashlights please (the zombies don't like light). While the tour is wheelchair accessible, strollers are not permitted. The tour is not recommended for children under 10; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
