Aurora Children’s Playhouse Ends the School Year in Style with Two Shows
By: Gabrielle Sierra Apr. 26, 2011
Aurora Theatre has assembled the best children's performers in the region, bringing them to Gwinnett County in order to give parents and their children a chance to experience their artistry in our amazing facility in downtown Lawrenceville.
Aurora Children's Playhouse final installment of children's performances in our 2010 -2011 Season is highlighted by two amazing performances this May. First up is a lively audience interactive musical extravaganza on May 14 at 10 AM. A Musical Tour through Latin America presented by Havana Son transports the audience to the tropics without a passport by taking them on a musical journey. Children participate by singing, clapping, dancing or playing percussion instruments. They will be having too much fun to realize that they are learning about the cultures and different countries of Latin America. On May 21 Aurora Children's Playhouse welcomes back The Story Ship and its creator Sean Driscoll for another dynamic performance with animation, magic, music and more. Pirate Goodie Twoshoes and his parrot Pete take the audience on an amazing undersea adventure. Goodie can't remember how to open his magic chest full of treasure. So he calls upon the audience and his animated friends to help. The show includes a giant video screen with colorful animations and charming puppets. Plenty of magic, music and comedy make this show unforgettable.A Musical Tour through Latin America Havana Son 5/21/2011 10 AM
