The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will bring the soundtrack of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl to life in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center November 23-24, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. Guest Conductor Richard Kaufman, who has devoted much of his musical life to conducting and supervising music for film and teleVision Productions, will lead the Orchestra and the Atlanta Vocal Project in the score from the movie, which will be shown on a giant screen.

Released in 2003, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (PG-13) is one of four movies in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, and was inspired by the popular Pirates of the Caribbean theme park ride at Walt Disney World. The fantasy adventure film follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), and Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush).
