[title of show] Extends Off-Broadway Through October 1

The musical [title of show]  - one of the hits of the summer theatre season  - has extended its Off-Broadway run 3 more weeks through October 1 at the Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street), it was announced by the show's producing team, Kevin McCollum, Laura Camien and the Vineyard Theatre.

[title of show] - "a hilarious and bittersweet musical about the creative process and the indomitable spirit of two struggling writers and two struggling actresses who take on the seemingly impossible task of writing a new musical in just three weeks," as press notes describe the show - is written by Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen. Mr. Bell and Mr. Bowen are featured in the cast, as well, joined by Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff, and musical director Larry Pressgrove[title of show] is directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse.  Bowen, Bell and Berresse received 2006 Obie Awards for their work on [title of show].

The newest 3-week extension for [title of show] -- originally scheduled to run through September 9 -- is the latest chapter in a merry saga that began two years ago when [title of show] was the breakout hit at the 2004 New York Musical Theatre Festival. The musical had its critically acclaimed debut Off-Broadway at the Vineyard on February 15, 2006, and extended three times for a total run of 11 weeks. On July 14, the show returned for an 8-week summer engagement, now extended to 11 weeks through Oct. 1.

An Original Cast Recording of [title of show] released by Ghostlight Records is currently in stores. [title of show] has musical arrangements and direction by Larry Pressgrove.

[title of show] features set design by Neil Patel; costume design by Chase Tyler; lighting design by Ken Billington and Jason Kantrowitz; and  sound design by ACME Sound Partners.

Now through October 1, performances of [title of show] will play at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street).

Through September 2 [title of show] will continue to play its current performance schedule of Mondays through Wednesdays at 8:00pm; Thursdays at 7:00pm & 10:00pm; Fridays at 8:00pm; and Saturdays at 5:00pm & 8:00pm.

The weeks starting September 4 and September 11 [title of show]'s performance schedule will be Tuesdays through Sundays at 8:00pm with matinee performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:00pm.

The weeks starting September 18 and September 25 [title of show]'s performance schedule will be Mondays at 8:00pm; Wednesdays through Sundays at 8:00pm with matinee performances on Saturdays at Sundays at 5:00pm
