he producers of MCC Theater's reasons to be pretty by Neil LaBute announced that three preview matinee performances have been cancelled, in order to accommodate a shift in television shooting schedules, and to allow for the usual rehearsal time during this period of early preview performances.

Yesterday's (Sunday) matinee was cancelled as will be the Wednesday (3/18) and Saturday (3/21) matinees.

Both actor Steven Pasquale and director Terry Kinney have long-standing television commitments, and a shift in those shooting schedules has given the production virtually no time to rehearse the play during this preview week. (Mr. Pasquale will be shooting the series "Rescue Me" on Tuesday, and Mr. Kinney will be shooting "The Unusuals" on Thursday and Friday).

Preview performances of reasons to be pretty began Friday (March 13th) at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street) with an official opening night scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2009. Tickets are on sale now through www.telecharge.com.

reasons to be pretty is produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Gary Goddard Entertainment, Ted Snowdon, Doug Nevin/Erica Lynn Schwartz, Ronald Frankel/Bat-Barry Productions, Kathleen Seidel, Kelpie Arts LLC, Jam Theatricals, and Rachel Helson/Heather Provost in association with MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director).
