Drift In, Act Out is thrilled to present Fathers & Sons as part of the 19th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. A new play by Zack Friedman, with direction by Stephen Cedars, Fathers & Sons will run for five performances between today, August 15th and 29th at The Kraine Theater in New York, NY.

Our story centers on Al Marshall, who considers himself well adjusted. But when he must look after his forgetful father and troubled teenage son, Al begins to lose his grip on reality. How do you grow up while you're being pulled into the past?

Our mission is to bring a family story into the 21st century. In the age of smart phones and social media, we aim to remind our audiences that while it may be challenging, human connection is what's most fulfilling.

Written by Zack Friedman, Fathers & Sons is directed by Stephen Cedars, with set and lighting design by Tyler M. Perry, stage management by Michelle Viteri, and logo and publicity design by Kyle Groff. Producers: Zack Friedman, Kara Ayn Napolitano, Rosie Kolbo.

Drift In, Act Out (DIAO) was founded in 2009 as a medium for artistic growth. To date, DIAO has produced When Transient Lives Collide, a festival of five new plays at Under St Marks Theater; New Life Crisis, a festival of three new plays and one musical at Theater For the New City; and in August of 2014, a developmental reading of Leah in Vegas, followed by the full production in FringeNYC 2014.
