Workshops, Wine Nights, Live Music and More Set for Casa Romantica’s May - June Lineup

Spring is in full swing at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, and so is the programming! From hands-on art workshops and garden experiences to live music, family-friendly events, and fan-favorite Sip and Paint nights, the historic coastal museum has rolled out a packed calendar through early June with something happening nearly every day.

“We've designed this season's lineup to give people more ways to experience Casa, whether that's trying something new, enjoying live music, or simply spending time in a beautiful setting,” said Kylie Travis, Co-Executive Director of Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens. “There's truly something for everyone, and we love seeing guests come back again and again to be part of it.”

Enjoy the Classical Concert: Youth Chamber Music Program Recital (May 28), celebrating a year of dedication from talented student musicians, and the beloved summer favorites under the stars in the historic courtyard with a Film Screening of 10 Things I Hate About You (June 9)  as well as Casa Cool Concert: Backwater Blues (June 24–25), featuring one of San Diego's top blues bands blending rock, soul, funk, and R&B under the stars.

Casa Romantica also continues to offer hands-on, educational experiences that connect guests more deeply with art and nature. The Butterfly Workshop (May 16) invites participants to explore the life cycle and beauty of pollinators up close, while Ask a Master Gardener (May 3 & May 17) sessions provide practical, expert guidance for at-home gardening.

Family-friendly programming is woven throughout the season, offering engaging experiences for younger visitors. Casa Kids: Hansel and Gretel presented by Lyric Opera of Orange County (June 20) offers an exciting 45-minute performance filled with music and playful storytelling, while Free Family Sunday (June 7) features a train display, hands-on activities, and complimentary admission. Looking ahead, families are encouraged to sign their kids up for Creative Camp (July 20–24) by the June 1, 2026 registration deadline.

Casa Romantica's spring programming is further supported by its Spring Renewal Campaign, an initiative focused on preserving and enhancing the historic home and gardens while expanding access to arts, culture, and educational experiences for the community.
