The original company of The View From Here, a hit at last year's New York Musical Theatre Festival, will reunite in February for a one-night only concert celebrating the release of its premiere cast recording.

The event will take place on Tuesday, February 27 at the Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street in Manhattan) at 9:30 PM. Admission is $20 plus a two beverage minimum.  All in attendance will receive a free copy of the CD.

The cast recording, released in July of 2006 features the New York Musical Theater Festival performances of Shonn Wiley (most recently seen in the Broadway productions of Dracula and 42nd Street) David Epstein (piano) and Tim Byrnes (trumpet). The CD, produced by Michael Cassara, Timothy Huang and Meredith Patterson, was just named one of the "Top 10 Cast Albums of 2006" by talkinbroadway.com's Rob Lester.

The musical, with lyrics and music by Timothy Huang and book by Huang (And the Earth Moved, NYMF 2004) in collaboration with Elizabeth Lucas, premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2005 (directed by Lucas) and featured Shonn Wiley as the nameless novelist navigating his way through life in New York City.

The Metropolitan Room at Gotham is located at 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) and reservations (strongly encouraged) can be made at any time by calling (212) 206-0440.
