Abingdon Theatre Company will present Up Close & Personal on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 7:30 PM at the Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex, June Havoc Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 1st floor.

"Mark Waldrop directs the musical evening with some of the most talented young singers and dancers in New York City.  The roster of young performers  includes highly trained musical theatre, pop, jazz, rock vocalists, past and present  members of the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Company, and the Dance Theatre of Harlem," state press materials.  "This roster of exciting performers have joined two of Abingdon's own - Zach London and Rachel Norman - to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy their exceptional talents in our intimate setting."

Broadway veteran Mark Waldrop will direct the evening.  Waldrop's  extensive credits include Abingdon's production of My Deah as well as the Tony-nominated Bea Arthur, Just Between Friends on Broadway. Other credits include Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly which earned him Drama Desk, Outer Critic's Circle,  LA Ovation, and OBIE directing nominations, Ziegfeld Follies of 1936 at City Center Encores, and Gypsy starring Betty Buckley at the Paper Mill Playhouse.

Tickets are $100 for preferred seating or $50 general admission.
