Last night was a big night for theatre fans in both the US and UK! The Olivier Awards were presented in London, and Oklahoma! officially opened on Broadway.

Jeremy Jordan begins performances as Dr. Pomatter in Waitress tonight!

Tony Award nominee Jeremy Jordan takes over the role of Dr. Pomatter tonight, April 8, and will perform opposite Shoshana Bean as Jenna through May 12. He succeeds Joey McIntyre who played his final performances on April 7.

Broadway Beacon Awards, honoring Chita Rivera and Al Roker, are tonight!

Tonight, at their annual Broadway Beacon Awards Gala at The JW Marriot Essex House (160 Central Park South), leading NYC arts education nonprofit Inside Broadway (Executive Director, Michael Presser) will honor Tony Award-winning Broadway icon Chita Rivera and NBC News/The Today Show's Al Roker. Rivera will be receiving the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award which will be presented to her by celebrated musician Steven Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band.

Theatre Forward's Chairman Awards Gala honors Bryan Cranston and more tonight!

Theatre Forward and Chairman John Thomopoulos will lead a celebration to support American theatre at the annual Chairman's Awards Gala tonight at The Pierre (2 East 61st Street). The Chairman's Awards Gala supports the work of Theatre Forward, which recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary season, and is dedicated to advancing American theatres and its communities through its Educating Through Theatre and Advancing Strong Theatre initiatives.

Sara Bareilles was the musical guest on this week's Saturday Night Live. During the show, she performed two of her singles, Fire and Saint Honesty.

Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein wrote some of Broadway's most beloved musicals throughout their seventeen-year partnership. Last night, their first collaboration, Oklahoma!, came back to Broadway.
