On Monday, October 16 at 7pm, WQXR will present a special evening of music and conversation with acclaimed pianist Leif Ove Andsnes at The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space.

Hailed by The New York Times as "a pianist of magisterial elegance, power and insight," and by the Wall Street Journal as "one of the most gifted musicians of his generation," Andsnes will join WQXR's Elliott Forrest for an intimate conversation about his role as Artist-in-Residence with the New York Philharmonic, as well as the release of a new Sibelius album on Sony Classical - from which he will perform several selections.

The program for the evening will include:

- SIBELIUS Selected works for solo piano

- JÖRG WIDMANN Idyll and Abyss

- SCHUBERT Three Piano Pieces, D.946: No. 2 in E-flat, Allegretto
