VIDEOS: Celebrate Gwen Verdon's Birthday With Ed Sullivan and What's My Line? Appearances

Broadway's unmatchable Gwen Verdon would have been 91 years old today. No doubt that, wherever they are, she and husband Bob Fosse are spending the day rehearsing a heavenly new musical right now.

Beginning with a Tony-winning break-out performance in Cole Porter's CAN-CAN, Verdon went on to be awarded the top prize for her next three shows, DAMN YANKEES, NEW GIRL IN TOWN and REDHEAD, before making indelible marks in SWEET CHARITY and CHICAGO.

Thankfully, many of her Broadway performances have been preserved with clips of her appearances on television shows, but Verdon and Fosse also created original routines just for the small screen.
