Jason Alexander stopped by this week's THE VIEW on ABC to talk about returning to the Broadway stage after 25 years in Larry David's Fish In the Dark.

"I was 10 years old when I saw Ben Vereen do "Pippin" on Broadway and I thought, 'I want to be him!", the 'Seinfeld' alum explains on his inspiration to be a theater star. The actor also shares a McDonalds TV spot he starred in in 1985!

FISH IN THE DARK began previews Monday, February 2 and opened on Thursday, March 5 at the Cort Theatre.

The limited engagement run of the production, originally scheduled through June 7, has been extended for six weeks through Sunday, July 19. Beginning Tuesday, June 9, Tony Award winner Jason Alexander will succeed Larry David, who will play his final performance on Sunday, June 7, in the role of Norman Drexel.

FISH IN THE DARK also stars Rita Wilson, Rosie Perez, Jayne Houdyshell, Ben Shenkman and Lewis J. Stadlen, heading a cast of 18.

The production has scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, , costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, sound design by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen, and original music by David Yazbek.
