The American Theatre Wing's latest Working in The Theatre video is a love letter to one of New York's most special places for people who love musicals, Marie's Crisis.

If you've never walked down the thin staircase into the sea of Sondheim obsessives, Kander and Ebb celebrants and Rodgers and Hammerstein aficionados, you'll get a very clear idea of what a night at Marie's Crisis is all about in this 17 minute profile where employees and regulars sing praises in between singing Gershwin.

As pianist Jim Allen says, "I call it the Fellini version of The Waltons. It is a place where you can feel at home and do the things you love that other people just don't understand."
