Hailed by critics as the most accomplished and renowned mime of his generation, Bill Bowers will teach a Master Class as part of the United Solo Professional Training Program on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Theatre Row in New York City.

In this fast moving, interactive Master Class, participants will gain awareness of Mime and how it augments the performers' process. Participants will learn how to work toward a more articulate and creative body and will learn a basic pantomime foundation for creating imaginary objects, sense of place, and various illusions. All ages and levels of theatrical experience encouraged. Classroom attire should be practical and suitable for physical activity. Participants need not come prepared with written text, but rather come willing to participate in movement-based work and with an open imagination. Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. "Participants of the United Solo Professional Training Program have an incredible opportunity to work in a collaborative setting with industry leaders in theatre, television, and film. The nuggets of wisdom gained from these sessions, as well as the opportunity to connect with top-notch professionals, is an invaluable experience that we, as artists, can take with us for a lifetime," says Pat McAndrew, Master Class Manager at United Solo.

Bill Bowers currently performs and teaches the art of physical storytelling throughout the world. His methods and exploration of universal truths transcend the spoken word to educate and touch audiences in countries as varied as Poland, The Netherlands, Scotland, Japan, Macedonia, Romania, Italy, Norway, Germany and Austria. An award-winning actor, Bowers has also performed in all 50 United States and Puerto Rico appearing on the stages of Broadway, The Kennedy Center, The White House, United Solo Europe, and Steppenwolf, among others. His Broadway credits include Zazu in "The Lion King" and Leggett in "The Scarlet Pimpernel." A passionate student and educator, Bowers studied with the legendary Marcel Marceau and currently serves on the faculties of New York University, Stella Adler Conservatory, and William Esper Studios.
