From jazz to rock, performing with the progressive rock band Soft Machine in the 1970, to composing music for advertising and commercials in the 1990 including soundtracks for Levis, British Airways, and Delta Air Lines, to writing a score for a Kiefer Sutherland movie, Sir Karl Jenkins has become one of the most successful living classical composers today. His unique career, style, and integrity often transcending musical boundaries made him today's most popular living classical composer, confirmed by Classic FM's 'Ultimate Hall of Fame' in 2015 where he holds the Classic FM 'Red f' award for 'outstanding service to classical music'.

Jenkins Adiemus - Songs of Sanctuary sold a million copies worldwide in its first year. The album went on to achieve 17 Gold and 2 Platinum discs. The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace has been performed over 2000 times in 20 different countries since the CD was released while his recorded output has resulted in seventeen gold and platinum disc awards.

Jenkins has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London, was given the Cymru For The World Award, honored with the Hopkins Medal given by the St. David's Society for the State of New York and in 2015, he was awarded a Knighthood in the 2015 Queen's Birthday Honours for "services to composing and crossing musical genres". A Doctor of Music, he holds Fellowships, Honorary Doctorates, and Professorships at five universities or conservatoires, including the Royal Academy of Music, where a room has been named in his honor.

His new vocal score of Symphonic Adiemus contains 12 numbers from the Adiemus series set in dynamic new scorings for an extended orchestra of over 100 musicians, including more than 20 layers of classical and world percussion and a choir of over 275 vocalists. The new, enriched sound transforms the works from female vocalists and ensemble to full choir and orchestra for the first time. "When Adiemus first appeared with its unique blend of the classical and world music, with my invented language for lyrics, I have been inundated with requests, from choirs around the world, for an Adiemus that, for the first time, includes male voices as well as female. The idea of re-orchestrating a selection from the past led me to a new concept of increasing the forces across the board, making the whole sound massive and symphonic," says Jenkins.
